Mike Wyatt is a commercial real estate broker at Cushman & Wakefield who is going on seven years now since he was diagnosed and successfully treated for testicular cancer. Mike is a compulsive giver and an unlikely but highly competitive marathon runner, and Team Nuts is his brainchild.
"Our goal from the start, aside from raising funds for male cancer awareness has been to get people talking about male cancers. Testicular cancer, for instance, is one of the most treatable forms of cancer, but very little is said about it because it is such a personal thing for younger men. And prostate cancer is equally kept quiet, because of the intimate nature of the disease. We want to get men talking about what they need to do to encourage regular screenings and early detection."
